DK Polwarth Lustre is soft, strong and lustrous. This wonderful wool is from the New Zealand Polwarth sheep, an old sheep breed combining 75% merino and 25% Lincoln. The fiber is similar to merino but with more sheen, so sleek, springy and lustrous. It is worsted spun from long staple fibers to produce a yarn that is silky and smooth. It has good stitch definition and dyes up well to produce strong and vibrant colors.

I do my very best to make sure there will be no bleeding of colors, but some colors are prone to bleeding and you should always wash handcrafted items separately. Even though this is made of a superwash wool, it is still wool and needs tender loving care.
I also take care in trying to represent true colors in the photos of my hand dyed yarns, but different devices can display colors differently. If for some reason you are not satisfied, please let me know so we can work something out.
I am willing to dye made to order colors and can always create a specific order amount if you need more than I have in stock, so don't hesitate to contact me!
