(0) Egg Mug Rug Set

We all love kits, don't we?  I have so much fun dyeing yarn, but I also love sewing and other crafts as well.  As a small business owner, I am always looking for something new to make to add to my store and new ways to market my products.  After all, it is a part of a business, and it is one I am not really good at.  With Easter right around the corner, I wanted to do something special but wasn't sure what to do.  I had a conversation with one of my nieces (she helps me tremendously with ideas and opinions) and she gave me an idea of what other indie dyers were doing for Easter.  Then I happened upon this egg mug rug design by Reen Wilcoxson of Embroidery Designs and thought, hmmm, I think this might be a good idea and decided it was the perfect pairing with a set of Treasure Dust Minis dyed in a special Easter colorway.  So I consulted my niece (Becky) to see if it would be something she would purchase as a customer and she thought it was a great idea.  So, I stitched up an egg mug rug, dyed some minis in pastels and got some opinions from Becky and other family members (my sister, Kitty, and Daughter-in-law, Cierra) to see what they thought and voila!  The Egg Mug Rug Set was born with the colorway name of "Speckled Easter Eggs".  They are only around for Easter and that date is approaching fast!

Becky has given me other ideas too and we have been collaborating on other kits coming up soon so stay tuned for those!
